In line with new Gas Safe legislation, Propeller now offers more flexibility around service periods.

An appliance now has additional attributes which allow for more customised service cycles based on your clients’ requirements.

For example, an appliance can have a last service date (e.g. 01.03.2018), a service interval (e.g. 12 months), a service deadline (e.g. 01.03.2019), a service buffer period (e.g. 2 months) and a reminder buffer period. (e.g. 1 month).

Such a scenario would mean that a target service date would be set as 01.01.2019 at the start of the service period and a service reminder triggered the month before, giving you plenty of time to arrange the service.

As long as the service is competed within the 2-month buffer period before 01.03.2019, the service deadline would remain 01.03 for the following year.

It is not necessary to set up service buffer periods or reminder periods, meaning you can continue servicing in exactly the same way, but these added options allow you to offer your clients the flexibility they need in line with new gas regulations.
